Zindon OPD Card
Zindon Card: OPD treatment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is free. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has introduced a historic step for the public and introduced the “Zindon OPD card”, under which the OPD (Out Patient Department) services will be provided free of cost to the public. Through this move, only free admission treatment was available to the hospital under the Seahat Card Plus, The treatment of outdoor patients will be possible without any costs.

On July 10, 2025, Health Advisor in Peshawar, Ehsanam Ali, regularly launched a “life card” under the pilot stage in Mardan, Kohat, Malakand, and Chitral. It was informed on the occasion that a budget of Rs 2 billion has been allocated for the project, and it is being launched in collaboration with the German Development Agency KFW.

Initially, the scheme has been launched in four districts – Mardan, Kohat, Malakand, and Chitral – which will benefit about 50,000 families directly, while according to other prescriptions, the number can increase to about 120,000 families.

The following services will be covered via the Zindon Card:
- Free Medical Inspection
- The convenience of the evaluation (test)
- Supply of medicines, absolutely free
These facilities will be available not only in public hospitals but also at basic health units (BHU) and rural health centers (RHC).

How to be eligible
Citizens can obtain confirmation by entering their CNIC number 9930 to test their competence. This facility will identify deserving persons based on NADRA and Basper Data

It should be noted that this scheme is an expansion of the operational model of Sehat Card Plus, and it will increase the access and quality of health facilities in the province.
Ayesham Ali said on the occasion:
“This Pilot Plan is the first free step of OPD services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and all over the country.”
He added that the funds allocated for the Sehat Card in the provincial budget have been increased from 35 billion to 41 billion.

KP has increased free health facilities to OPD after declaring these pretexts free under the Sahat Card Plus in 2025. In this regard, the German organization KFW provided funding and administrative support, which strengthened government ambitions.
Registration process
A life card can be obtained at your nearest registration center (public or private, which is appointed). Only CNIC and Identity document are required, and after completing the verification process, OPD services are free all year long.
