T-Cash Card for Public Transport: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launches T-Cash card. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting on July 17, 2025, in which the introduction of a digital payment system in the Metro Bus service and Orange Line train was approved.

Decision to abolish the current token system
It was decided in the meeting that barcode-based payment will be introduced in place of tokens. This system will be activated not only through cards but also through mobile wallets and NFC technology.

The T-Cash Card will provide shared use in all mass transit systems of the province (Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Islamabad). In addition, special cards will also be issued for students.
