Saaf Suthra Punjab Tax
Saaf Suthra Punjab Tax: Suthra Punjab is a historic sanitation and waste management initiative of the Punjab government, which aims to make the entire sector clean and free from garbage. The project was launched in December 2014 at the instructions of Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, with the slogan “Zero Waste Punjab in 90 Days.” The Punjab government has announced the implementation of a sanitation service charge from July 1, 2025, to finance the Suthra Punjab project.
The Punjab Tax is being used to establish a comprehensive sanitation system. Through this tax, the Punjab government aims not only to address sanitation needs more effectively but also to implement a sustainable, organized, and self-sufficient waste management system. The objectives of the Punjab Tax are as follows:
- Establishing a sustainable sanitation system in the province
- making the sanitation system financially sustainable
- Environmental improvement and protection of public health
- monitoring sanitation with modern technology
- Involving the public in the sanitation process
- Autonomy of the local government system in the future
حکومت کا پنجاب بھر میں یکم جولائی سے کوڑا ٹیکس نافذ کرنے کا فیصلہ۔۔۔!
پنجاب حکومت نے صوبے بھر میں صفائی کے نظام کو بہتر بنانے اور ’ستھرا پنجاب‘ مہم کو مؤثر بنانے کے لیے یکم جولائی 2025 سے کوڑا ٹیکس نافذ کرنے کا اعلان کر دیا ہے۔
یہ ٹیکس صوبے کے تمام شہری اور دیہی علاقوں میں رہائشی و تجارتی یونٹس سے ماہانہ بنیادوں پر وصول کیا جائے گا۔
حکومت کا مؤقف ہے کہ اس اقدام سے نہ صرف صفائی کا نظام بہتر ہو گا بلکہ بلدیاتی اداروں کو مالی طور پر خودمختار بنانے میں بھی مدد ملے گی۔
کوڑا ٹیکس کی تفصیلات درج ذیل ہیں:
دیہی رہائشی یونٹس:
- 2 سے 5 مرلہ گھر: 200 روپے ماہانہ
- 10 مرلہ گھر: 400 روپے ماہانہ
دیہی تجارتی یونٹس:
- چھوٹی دکانیں: 300 روپے ماہانہ
- درمیانے درجے کے کاروبار: 700 روپے ماہانہ
🏠 شہری رہائشی یونٹس:
- 5 مرلہ گھر: 300 روپے ماہانہ
- 10 مرلہ گھر: 500 روپے ماہانہ
- 1 کنال گھر: 3,000 روپے ماہانہ
- 2 کنال گھر: 5,000 روپے ماہانہ
شہری تجارتی یونٹس:
- چھوٹی دکانیں: 500 روپے ماہانہ
- درمیانے کاروبار: 1,000 روپے ماہانہ
- بڑی مارکیٹ یا فیکٹری: 3,000 روپے ماہانہ۔
سرگودھا والو آپ بھی ٹیکس دینے کیلئے تیار ہو جائیں۔
