Punjab Interest-Free Livestock Loans. The Punjab government has launched the “Livestock e-Credit Scheme” to financially empower farmers and increase milk and meat production. Under this scheme, interest-free loans will be provided to 80,000 small farmers so that they can make better arrangements for the care, feeding, and treatment of their livestock. The scheme has been introduced under the Kisan Card and will be completed in a two-year phase.
