Punjab government releases Rs 42 billion grant for Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Project. The Punjab government has approved and released a total grant of Rs 42.013 billion for its housing scheme “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” under the Annual Development Program 2025–26.
This amount has been transferred to the Lake Development Agency (PHATA) to continue the construction work in the scheme at a fast pace
Project Objectives
The scheme was launched in August 2024 to provide interest-free loans to landowners who want to build houses:
- For 1–5 marla land in urban areas,
- For 1–10 marla plots in rural areas
