PM Scholarship Scheme for Balochistan students: The federal government has introduced a comprehensive scholarship scheme for students of Balochistan with the aim of eliminating educational backwardness and involving the intelligent youth of the province in national development.
Rs. 500 million educational scholarship
Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has announced that 200 students of Balochistan will be provided full educational scholarships at Sadiq Public School, Bahawalpur. Under this scheme:
- Full tuition fees
- Hostel accommodation
- Food expenses
- Textbooks and uniforms
- Pocket expenses
Everything will be provided by the federal government.
Current Achievements of Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF)
Under the BEEF established by the Balochistan Government:
- Over 33,000 students were given scholarships in 2024
- A total of Rs 2.98 billion was distributed
- Including BS, MPhil, PhD, and Madrasa students
- Quotas for minorities, transgender, children of martyrs, and special persons

International education opportunities are also included
The new schemes are also providing scholarship facilities to students in top-ranked universities abroad (QS Top 250), especially for PhD-level students.

The government has based the scheme on the following principles:
- Merit-based selection
- Transparent application process (through digital portal)
- Equal representation in all districts
- Special preference for backward classes
How to apply for the scheme?
The federal government is setting up an online portal through which students can apply for scholarships. All the details, eligibility criteria, required documents, and application steps will be made available on the official website soon.

The Prime Minister said while announcing the scheme:
“We want the intelligent students of Balochistan to not only get an education but also take charge of the country’s leadership. We will take every possible step to turn their dreams into reality.”
