Pak ID Application Fee
Pak ID Application Fee: NADRA has introduced an online service called Pak ID for the convenience of citizens. Through this service, Pakistani citizens, especially overseas Pakistanis, can apply for identity documents like NICOP, CNIC renewal, amendment, duplicate, FRC, POC, and CRC from the comfort of their homes.
In this article, we will know in detail when, how, and where to deposit the Pak ID fee.
When to pay the fee?
There are two ways to pay the fee, which vary depending on the application:
- Applications with upfront fee submission:
There are some applications for which you are required to pay the fee before submitting the form, for example:
- New or Renewal
- Family Registration Certificate
- Pakistani Origin Card
With upfront fee submission:
In some services, such as CNIC change (e.g., name or address change), NADRA first reviews the application, and after approval, you are instructed to pay the fee via email or SMS.

How to pay the fee
Online payment steps:
- Log in to the Pak ID app or website
- Select the relevant service (e.g., Smart NICOP, FRC)
- Complete your details and upload the required documents
- On reaching the fee stage, you will be given online payment options:
- Debit/Credit Card
- E-Banking (in some cases)
- Mobile Wallet (only in Pakistan)
After completing the payment:
- You will be given a receipt
- The application number will be issued
- You can also track the application
Fees for various services
- Smart CNIC (Amendment or Renewal) PKR 750 PKR 1,500 PKR 2,500
- NICOP (Zone A – America, Europe, etc.) USD 39 USD 57 USD 75

Note: Foreigner fee may vary in Pakistani Rupees based on currency exchange rate fluctuations.
Processing Time
- Normal Up to 30 days
- Urgent 23 days
- Executive 7 to 10 days

Refund Policy
As per NADRA policy:
- The fee can be refunded only in specific circumstances (e.g., wrong service selected)
- A request for a refund of the fee can be made within 6 months
- The fee is not refunded after the application is approved, except in specific cases
