Pak ID Application Fee: NADRA has introduced an online service called Pak ID for the convenience of citizens. Through this service, Pakistani citizens, especially overseas Pakistanis, can apply for identity documents like NICOP, CNIC renewal, amendment, duplicate, FRC, POC, and CRC from the comfort of their homes.

When to pay the fee?

There are two ways to pay the fee, which vary depending on the application:

  1. Applications with upfront fee submission: 

There are some applications for which you are required to pay the fee before submitting the form, for example:

  • New or Renewal
  • Family Registration Certificate
  • Pakistani Origin Card

 With upfront fee submission: 

In some services, such as CNIC change (e.g., name or address change), NADRA first reviews the application, and after approval, you are instructed to pay the fee via email or SMS.

 How to pay the fee

Online payment steps:

  1. Log in to the Pak ID app or website
  2. Select the relevant service (e.g., Smart NICOP, FRC)
  3. Complete your details and upload the required documents
  4. On reaching the fee stage, you will be given online payment options:
  • Debit/Credit Card
  • E-Banking (in some cases)
  • Mobile Wallet (only in Pakistan)

After completing the payment:

  • You will be given a receipt
  • The application number will be issued
  • You can also track the application

  • Normal Up to 30 days
  • Urgent 23 days
  • Executive 7 to 10 days

As per NADRA policy:

  • The fee is not refunded after the application is approved, except in specific cases
