NADRA’s call center remains open on Ashura. NADRA offices closed on Ashura 5 and 6 July 2025, call center to remain functional as usual. The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced that all NADRA offices across the country will remain closed on the occasion of Ashura. However, keeping in mind the convenience of citizens, NADRA’s call center will remain open and will provide services as usual.
Offices closed on the occasion of Ashura
The day of Ashura, which falls on the 10th of Muharram, is observed with religious devotion and respect in Pakistan. Accordingly, a public holiday is declared by the Government of Pakistan. NADRA has also decided to keep all its offices closed, given this national holiday, so that employees get the opportunity to participate in religious rituals.
Call center to remain open for the convenience of citizens
The announcement issued by NADRA clarified that although the offices will remain closed, the 24/7 call center service will remain functional. Citizens can contact the NADRA helpline for any information, guidance, or to register complaints.

When will the services be restored?
NADRA offices will reopen from the next business day after Ashura and will provide services as per normal working hours. Citizens are requested not to visit NADRA offices during holidays and contact the call center in case of any emergency.

How can you get NADRA information from PakID during the Ashura holidays?
Even during the Ashura holidays when NADRA offices are closed, you can still access NADRA services and information through the PakID online portal. This platform allows citizens to:
- Apply for a new CNIC or NICOP
- Renew or modify existing ID cards
- Track the status of their applications
- Upload the required documents
- Pay fees online
