Laptop Scheme Phase 4 Kicks Off July 25. The central launch of the PM Free Laptop Scheme Phase 4 will be held on or around 25th July 2025 at Jinnah Convention Center, Islamabad, which will be attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, federal ministers, higher education officials, and selected students

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students admitted to HEC recognized public universities across Pakistan (BS, MS/MPhil, PhD)
  • Students with at least 60% marks in the previous academic year (CGPA 2.5 or above)
  • Not having received a laptop in any of the previous phases
  • CNIC/B-form, University Identity Card, and other necessary documents

In special cases, preference will be given to students seeking lower economic support or disabled people

Application and Screening Procedure

  • Submit the online application on the HEC portal before the deadline of 20 May 2025.
  • The university will verify the information of its students (April–June).
  • HEC will publish the merit list on the portal, and SMS/email will be sent to the selected students.

Laptop collection process

  • After the central ceremony in Islamabad on July 25, regional ceremonies will be held in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Gilgit, and Azad Kashmir.
  • The selected students will have to attend the ceremony with their CNIC and Student ID.

Transparency, Merit, and Awareness Campaign

  • The transparency and merit of this scheme have been emphasized by Federal Minister for Education Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and President PM Youth Program Rana Mashhood
  • A media campaign will be launched at the national level so that every deserving student can be aware of it.

In the past, students were given laptops from Haier, Dell Vostro, and the latest Lenovo ThinkBook / ThinkBook 14 13th Gen i7 series
