Kisan Card Phase II
Kisan Card Phase II approved. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz approved providing interest-free loans of ₨100 billion to farmers under Kisan Card Phase II, which will benefit about 628,000 farmers.
Here are the details of the Kisan Card Scheme II,
Water projects:
Projects based on 500 small dams and 250 water reservoirs in the Pothohar region were reviewed.
Agricultural programs:
A detailed briefing was given on several schemes, including Green Tractor, Model Agriculture, Tube Well Solarization, Vet Program, Super Seeder, Citrus, and Agri-Transformation.

Facilities for the wheat crop:
Plans were presented to provide agricultural inputs (seeds, fertilizers, chemicals, diesel) to farmers at subsidized rates. For this purpose, instructions were also issued to launch a new project before the wheat harvest.

Structure and features of Phase-II
Beneficiary farmers:
Farmers who mostly own up to 25 acres of agricultural land will be included in this phase.
Loan amount:
A loan of about ₨3,350 per acre (up to a total of ₨300,000) will be given—total financial assistance is ₨75 billion or more.
NADRA services are also available in the Union Council of Qadirabad, Mandi Bahauddin.
Loan Disbursement:
- 30% Cash (up to ₨90,000)
- 20% for Diesel (up to ₨60,000)
- 50% for Fertilizers, Seeds, Chemicals (up to ₨150,000)
Interest Free:
This loan will be completely interest-free
Fee Waiver:
The processing fee of ₨1,000 has been waived for Phase II, and registration of about 4,200 agricultural suppliers has been completed.
Other Related Initiatives
Green Tractor Program (Phase II):
20,000 green tractors will be available on subsidy; ₨500,000 subsidy for 50–65 horsepower, while a ₨1,000,000 subsidy for 75–125 HP. Applications will be accepted from August, and distribution will be completed in September.

Model Agriculture Malls:
In July, Model Agriculture Malls will be launched in 10 districts (Faisalabad, Jhang, Okara, Khanwal, Rajanpur, Vehari, Rahim Yar Khan, Sheikhupura, Attock, Mianwali) and will be activated in more districts (Multan, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal)
Agri Internship Programme (Phase II):
Training of 2,000 agriculture graduates to begin in September and join the field service from October
Tube Well Solarization:
Around 7,988 applications were received, out of which 500 were found to be fraudulent. Solarization of 7,670 tube wells has been started, and 652 have been completed.
This program is an important step by the Punjab government to promote the financial self-sufficiency and agricultural productivity of farmers. Under the leadership of Sardar Maryam Nawaz, this scheme will not only provide financial assistance to farmers but also promote transparency and modernization in the agricultural sector.
