In which union councils are NADRA services
NADRA Services in Union Councils: NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) initially provided identity cards and other necessary documents only at its central offices in the city. However, in recent years, NADRA has decided to shift its services to the union councils to increase public convenience, allowing citizens to avoid long journeys and waiting.

Basic identity services, such as issuance or renewal of CNIC, issuance of B-Form (child registration), generation of Family Registration Certificate, amendment of marital status, and cancellation of CNIC, are now available in these Union Councils.\

Importance of Services
- Closest Access:
Citizens can now get any identity service at their nearest Union Council office, which is very convenient and time-saving.
- Reduction in waiting and rush:
Long queues at central offices are avoided, especially for women, senior citizens,
and children.
- Ease of office work:
The pace of work in small administrative offices is faster, and citizens with local councils are more diligent in verifying documents.

New initiatives and avenues
There is a plan to complete the service system in all 31 Union Councils of Islamabad by June 30, 2025
Furthermore, NADRA has expanded the ‘Biker Service’ to 8 units in Karachi, which has made it possible to renew CNIC and provide other services at the home level
Future Strategy
NADRA will rapidly expand its services to more union councils, starting with Islamabad, Chakwal, and Gujrat.
Identification facilities are being expanded in major cities, including Karachi, through mobile services, vans, and bike units.
This is the first phase under which basic identification services are being provided in union councils, so that citizens have easy access and convenience.
