Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister formally launches “Ehsaas Apna Ghar” scheme. Peshawar (July 8, 2025): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur formally launched the Ehsaas Apna Ghar scheme in a special ceremony at the Chief Minister’s House, Peshawar, under which interest-free loans will be provided to low-income earners for the construction, expansion, or repair of houses.
Scheme details:
- Maximum loan: Rs. 1.5 million
- Total loan amount: Rs. 4 billion, to be continued for seven years through a revolving fund
- Repayment period: 7 years, monthly installment limit of Rs. 18,000

Eligibility criteria:
- Age: 18 to 65 years
- Monthly income: Less than Rs 150,000
- The owner of the house must have their land.
Application and distribution process:
- Transparent selection:
Applicants will be selected through a computerized balloting system.
- In the first phase, appointments will be made in proportion to the population in all districts of the province.
- The initial cheques were also presented to the recipients at the ceremony.

Chief Minister’s statement:
Chief Minister Gandapur said that this scheme is part of the vision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan and is a big step towards providing dream homes to the low-income sections of the province.
He added that “work on solarization of houses in tribal and rural areas will also be started soon”, and the government will also invest heavily in health, education, clean drinking water, and infrastructure.
