Distribution of Kisan Card in Mandi Bahauddin: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s revolutionary initiative has been taken under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to provide relief to farmers in the Mandi Bahauddin district. The project is being led by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Faisal Saleem and supervised by Deputy Director of Agriculture Sheikh Muhammad Iqbal. This initiative aims to provide direct access to financial assistance, agricultural facilities, and modern technology to farmers so that their production increases and they can earn more profits.

The process of distribution of Kisan Cards in the three tehsils of Mandi Bahauddin has been completed in two phases.

Details of Two Phases
- Phase One:
In the first phase, 1275 registered books were prepared, and Kisan Cards were distributed to 10,312 farmers. In this phase, a huge amount of Rs. 586 million was provided to farmers as a direct subsidy.
- Second phase:
In the second phase, 10,585 more books were prepared, while initially 578 farmers were issued Kisan Cards. This process is continuing rapidly, and soon, more farmers will be included in this scheme.
Benefits of Kisan Card
According to Deputy Commissioner Dr. Faisal Saleem, several important facilities are being provided to farmers through the Kisan Card, including:
- Direct financial assistance: The subsidy amount is being transferred directly to the government accounts of farmers to ensure transparency.
- Access to agricultural equipment: The purchase of fertilizers, seeds, agricultural chemicals, and modern equipment is being facilitated.
- Protection from natural disasters: The Kisan Card has made it possible to transfer immediate assistance in the event of natural disasters.
